Basic rate and cross currency

Basic exchange rate (also known as direct drive or basic exchange rate): generally refers to a country’s currency against the dollar.
Cross exchange rate (also known as crosses): refers to two kinds of price ratio between non-dollar currencies, cross rates can be counted from the basic rate set.
